Our company
Ontario Coatings is located in a 10,000 square foot facility on Culloden Road. It is centrally located in Oxford County to serve southern Ontario. The professional and quality powder coat applied by Ontario Coatings is appreciated by dozens of loyal customers. Our local employees care about the product they paint and Kevin Dermo, the manager of operations, is always willing to talk to you about potential projects.
The powder coating process
Each piece goes through a three stage wash with Iron Phosphate at 220 F and then is dried in the oven before entering the paint booth. Many of our customers' products require plugs or tape to cover threaded studs or areas where tolerance does not allow for paint thickness (i.e. bearing seats). Once a colour is chosen from hundreds available, the powder is applied to the product. On larger orders colour matching is available. Many standard paint finishes are available such as textured, high gloss, flat, hammertone effects or clear coat finishes. After the powder is applied the parts are cured at 410 F. All product then goes through a stringent quality control process checking the finish, paint uniformity, and depth or thickness of paint before it is packaged and shipped back to the customer.
